Compare Australian international fees by programme, CRICOS registration, campus and duration. A published annual tuition estimate is not a fixed whole-degree price, and a domestic Commonwealth supported fee is not an international quotation.
Read annual fees and programme length together
An Australian course page may show several prices for different student categories. Confirm that the amount is for an international fee-paying student and for the intended year. Domestic fee support, a Commonwealth supported place and an international scholarship are different arrangements; a low domestic amount should never be copied into an international budget.
Record both the published annual amount and the standard duration. If a programme has credit recognition or several entry routes, ask which route applies to your qualification before shortening the budget. Annual charges can change during a multi-year course, so multiplying one year by duration is an estimate with a stated assumption rather than a guaranteed invoice.
Three examples from one official 2026 fee schedule
UniSC lists its Master of Business Administration at AUD29,500 indicative annual international tuition with a standard length of 1.5 years. The Master of International Business has the same annual amount and duration. The Master of Management is listed at AUD29,500 annually over two years. These examples demonstrate the effect of duration; they do not establish nationwide price leadership.
All three are postgraduate coursework entries in the official international schedule. Keep their CRICOS codes with your shortlist: 066777E for the MBA, 077420K for International Business and 082695G for Management. Confirm the teaching location and availability for your chosen intake, and obtain the actual fee and study-load calculation from the institution.
| UniSC programme | 2026 indicative annual international tuition | Standard length |
|---|---|---|
| Master of Business Administration | AUD29,500 | 1.5 years |
| Master of International Business | AUD29,500 | 1.5 years |
| Master of Management | AUD29,500 | 2 years |
Check registration and the exact delivery location
CRICOS is the Australian Government register of providers and courses offered to students studying on student visas. Search the precise programme rather than relying on a university name or an agent brochure. An online option and an on-campus registered programme can have different eligibility, prices and attendance expectations. Save the registration information alongside the offer.
Campus matters to affordability. Compare accommodation near the location where your classes actually take place, and check public transport frequency around the expected timetable. A lower rent farther away may be offset by transport, travel time and late classes. Obtain current housing quotes instead of assuming a national or city average represents your individual contract.
Price living costs independently of visa requirements
Study Australia explains that international costs vary with the provider, study level and location. Its living-cost calculator is an approximate guide and the page identifies the underlying calculator figures as last updated in November 2023. Use it to identify budget categories, then replace estimates with current accommodation and transport quotes where possible.
The Department of Home Affairs sets Student visa financial requirements. Check the current Subclass 500 instructions for the evidence that applies to you; the minimum immigration amount is not a promise about actual living expenses. Include health cover, travel, course materials, visa-related charges and initial housing payments where applicable. Keep these separate from tuition so you can see which costs are already included in a university estimate.
Treat awards and instalments as separate decisions
Use a scholarship only after confirming its amount, eligible course, intake, academic conditions and whether it renews. An advertised percentage reduction can leave a sizeable remaining bill and may apply only to certain periods. Record the gross tuition and the confirmed reduction separately so a later change remains visible.
For a Nepal-based funding plan, keep costs in AUD and attach a dated NPR conversion rather than silently updating the underlying tuition record. Ask your bank about transfer charges and timing. Review deposit and refund rules before payment, particularly where enrolment, visa decisions or course availability can change. Keep a reserve for essential costs without assuming future part-time earnings.
Check the scenario behind the lower price
Write down why one option appears cheaper: a shorter approved study route, lower gross tuition, a confirmed scholarship or a different housing contract. That explanation makes the comparison easier to update if the offer changes. Test the budget with the same living-cost categories across all options, and include the extra calendar months of a longer programme. Do not turn a favourable estimate into a fixed commitment before the university confirms the applicable route and charges.

Common questions
Can I multiply the annual fee by the duration?
You can use that as a clearly labelled first estimate, but it does not fix future annual fees or account for credit recognition and additional charges.
Does a low domestic fee apply to students from Nepal?
Not automatically. Confirm your international fee classification and scholarship conditions with the provider.
Are these the three cheapest Australian degrees?
No. They are three verified examples from one institution used to demonstrate annual-fee and duration comparisons.
