In brief

Start with the institution or authority responsible for a rule. Record the exact course, applicant category and date, then distinguish verified published information from estimates and provider statements.

Use the responsible primary source

For admission and course fees, consult the university course and country-entry pages. For immigration conditions, use the relevant government authority. A test provider can explain its score system, but the university decides which scores it accepts for a particular course.

A consultancy flyer or social post can help identify a question to investigate. It does not replace the official requirement. When two pages conflict, retain the dates and ask the authority responsible for that condition to clarify it.

Keep the scope attached to every figure

A tuition record identifies its course, qualification, campus, academic year or intake, currency and duration. Scholarship reductions are included only when the stated eligibility and combination conditions are satisfied. A published fee for one programme is not an institution-wide minimum.

Budget inputs for rent, daily expenses and travel are estimates or user inputs unless a source and period are explicitly supplied. Visa financial minima and estimated living costs answer different questions and are kept separate.

Read the date labels carefully

A source-check date records when the linked information was examined. An academic year identifies the course cohort. An effective date identifies when a rule applies. These dates can differ. Changing the layout should not imply a new substantive source review.

Where rules depend on an application date, read the boundary and any qualification exceptions. Before accepting an offer or submitting an application, reopen the official page and check whether your circumstances fall within it.

Describe the limits of the evidence

Unavailable information stays unavailable. It is not entered as zero. Provider advertising is labelled as a provider statement and is not converted into a verified outcome. Statistical counts are interpreted using the dataset definitions, including rounding and scope.

The publication is a starting point for informed research. An applicant's final offer, CAS, payment terms and official decision may contain conditions that a general guide cannot determine.
